Omg, today Seoul is -6 degree! It is truly freezing!!
I better take my uggs out from the shoe shelf and get prepared for the weather, hehe~
 
 
Today, we have Seung-hwan who got received several procedures done at ST few months ago. He is now in the military and shared with us his awesome look in the uniform as well! Let's go and find out how he changed!

Before the surgery
When Seung-hwan entered the front door of ST for a consultation, we already knew that what he was going to talk about! He is tall good-looking guy in well built body that seemed to be fine in overall.

The main problem he had, suffered and desperately wanted good solution on was his eyes. As you can see, his eyes were quite small vertically that the upper part of pupils were covered by upper eyelid skin and lack of muscle power. He is young but already seemed to have wrinkles on the forehead which was the result of repetitive use of forehead muscle.
 
Patients with lack of levator muscle which involves eye movement could have conditions like him. In this case, the surgery should be approached not only for cosmetic purpose but also to improve the condition functionally.

Seung-hwan also mentioned that he found his nose height less attractive that since he has kind of big nose but the height makes his nose looking blunt. Because he did not want to have a nose surgery and was about to join the army soon, Dr.Kim decided to inject filler for subtle change.

The day after the surgery
Patients mostly look more visibly swollen and bruised on the first day of surgery, especially men with thick skin. Also we inform patients about more swelling in case having Ptosis correction since the surgery involves touching muscle and takes more time than general Double eyelid surgery.

5 Days after the surgery
After 5 days, the day of double eyelid stitches removed, he seemed to look more related and comfortable. (Stitches for Medial Canthoplasty had not been removed yet)
 
Even though Ptosis correction was done to improve muscle functions, patients may remain with their habit to make facial expressions or open eyes in the beginning of recovery period. The condition got improved, but patients themselves need to practice as well.

Firstly, the stuffy looking upper eyelid skin that used to cover his upper pupils has gone a lot, you can see his eyes look more defined and comfortably opening.
 
When we consider man eyelid surgery, the most important thing is that 'Not to look overdone'. Many women like to have big eyes with round shape and high folds, they can still wear eye make-up such as mascara, eyeliner, or eyeshadow to look naturally big. Men are different. Since most of men do not wear make up or eye make-up to covery, the folds should look very natural with bare-face like Seung-hwan's!
